New Jersey AALAS Awards Program


The New Jersey Branch offers several individual awards and scholarships annually. Nominations for awards are made in the Spring.

Scholarships to Rutgers the State University and Camden County Community College are awarded to deserving students pursuing careers in Laboratory Animal Science or related fields.

The Outstanding Technician Award consists of a plaque and $300.00 and is awarded to outstanding technician(s) in the branch.

The Outstanding Contribution Award is awarded to an individual (not necessarily a branch member) who has contributed significantly to the field of Laboratory Animal Medicine and Welfare.

The Michael Roell Distinguished Service Award provides the recipient with lifetime membership in the Branch and is awarded to a branch member who has contributed significantly to the Branch and Laboratory Animal Medicine.
