Awards Program
The DVB offers awards and scholarships for individual recognition and achievement by branch members.
Awards include:
The Purina Pro-Lab Award sponsored by the Purina Mills, Inc.
The Allentown, Inc. Facility Supervisor Manager Award
The TotalMRO Veterinarian of the Year Award
The Animal Specialties And Provisions, LLC, Technical Services Award
The ACTS Training and Education Award
The BIO-SERV Enhancement or Improvement of Animal Welfare Award
The TASP (Technician Assistance Support Program) offers technician level branch members a chance to attend the annual National AALAS Meeting, paid for by DVB.
The J. J. Noonan Scholarship Award is offered to students from area schools and colleges which offer a degree in laboratory animal science. These awards are based on merit, achievement and need, and are for the purpose of “furthering the students education in the field of laboratory animal science". Students from the following schools/colleges are eligible for this scholarship:
Manor Junior College
Delaware Valley College
Harcum Junior College
Drexel University
Center for Arts and Technologies
